2.1.9 The Three-Part Process ​

The idealized design process has three distinct, sequential parts:

  1. The Formulation of a Mission Statement: Establishing the conceptual objective of what the system is trying to achieve (Target Outcomes).
  2. Specification of the Properties: Defining the exact characteristics and attributes the designers want the newly designed organization to have (The Core Thesis).
  3. Design of an Organization: Structuring a physical, social, and cybernetic organization that actually possesses these properties and brings them into reality (Means Planning).

This sequence provides the exact architecture for the rest of our Ends Planning.
