3. Transforming Economics

When actors confront the economic deadlock mapped in Chapters 1 and 2, they do not remain static. They react.

Yet under the default economic operating system, humanity has been conditioned to treat problems as anomalies, personal failures, or mere "friction" to be avoided, suppressed, or patched.

To discover genuine pathways of transformation, we must first unlearn this misunderstanding, examine the full spectrum of strategic choices, and see how human history has repeatedly attempted—and failed—to navigate this terrain:

  1. 3.1 The Nature of Problems: Problems as structural voids, societal magnetism, the Three Fs (Focus, Fuel, Future), and the 3D qualification gate (Proof-of-Problem).
  2. 3.2 WHO'S R-ARSED: The four power postures actors occupy (WHO'S) and the six strategic response pathways they deploy (R-ARSED, building on Russell Ackoff's problem treatments).
  3. 3.3 Mapping Economic History to the Six Response Types: Auditing 250 years of economic thought across 16 major schools to expose the recurring historical cycle of failure.
  4. 3.4 The Dual Dynamic: Dissolve to Solve: How BUMPONOMICS breaks the cycle by dissolving the obsolete macro system so humanity can solve real, meaningful problems.

The Strategic Sub-Chapters
